Football Coaching For Children


Between 200 and 300 schoolchildren are being coached in football on the grounds of the stadium outside the Ronald Webster Park.

The two-week training camp is being sponsored by the Anguilla Football Association and Caribbean Lotto.

Head coach, Leon Jeffers, told The Anguillian that the aim of the camp was to help the youngsters to become interested in the sport, and eventually national players to represent Anguilla at home and abroad.

The participating youngsters are in the ages of 3-6 years, 7-9 and 10 and over.

The coaching sessions began on Monday this week and will continue until next Friday, July 30.

Following the football training camp, the Primary School and Comprehensive School Leagues will commence one after the other.
