Two Anguillian students, a sister and a brother, both in their early 20s, have graduated from separate institutions of higher learning in the United States.

Violet Richardson

Information reaching The Anguillian this week stated that Violet Richardson was conferred with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting Magna Cum Laude from Howard University on May 8. She is now in the process of completing her CPA, and next month will continue her studies at Howard University Law School.

Delano Richardson

Delano Richardson was conferred with two degrees from Lincoln University on May 2. These were a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance. He has entered the field of work.

Violet and Delano are the children of Yolande Richardson and Elliott Richardson, both of whom reside in New York.

Ms. Richardson, who teaches at a Middle School there for 6, 7 and 8 graders, was a top education official in Anguilla for a number of years. She served in the separate positions of Principal of the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School; Education Officer, Curriculum Development and Chief Education Officer.

Mr. Richardson is a former Commissioner of Police in Anguilla.
