Parents of students enrolled at the Blowing Point Youth Development Centre are hereby informed that the Centre will be conducting a special Easter Reading Programme commencing on Tuesday April 6th 2010 at the Centre.

This special reading programme has been organized to address the declining literacy abilities of the community’s children and youth. Parents can be assured that in this programme, children will receive the tools they need in order to improve their reading ability and will develop the confidence that they need to become better readers.

The reading programme will take place from Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th April 2010 during the hours of 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Parents are therefore asked to register their children by contacting Centre Manager, Ms. Jemima Francis, at telephone numbers 462-2792 or 729-2860.

The BPYDC Easter Reading Programme 2010 bears the theme: “The greatest gift is a passion for reading; today a reader tomorrow a leader”.
