The Morris Vanterpool Primary School at East End and the Island Harbour Primary School are jointly sharing a quantity of supplies donated for use by the pupils.

The books and other supplies were funded by two German couples the Geeseman family and the Maar family, visitors to Anguilla, along with donations from Altamer Resort, Carimar Beach Resort and the Island Pub Grocery. The assistance was raised by James (Junior) Fleming of Island Harbour as part of initiatives under his Marine Life Education Programme for schools.

The presentation was made at the Morris Vanterpool School on Tuesday. The Principal, Ronetta Fahie, thanked the donors and Fleming on behalf of the two schools, the Education Department, parents and pupils. She was particularly pleased with the books which she said came at a time when the schools were focusing on the development of a literacy programme.

Junior Fleming expressed gratitude to all the donors for their ready assistance.
