Kahlida N. Lloyd Graduates


KAHLIDA N. LLOYD, daughter of Mr. Lesly Lloyd and Dr, Sezilee Smith Reid of Tortola graduated with high honors - Magna Cum Laude - from North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina, on May 15, 2010.

She graduated in the top 10% of her class. While in law school, she served as Articles Editor for the North Carolina Central Law Review and a member of the Mood Court Board. She was also chair of the Public Interest Law Organization and volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem. In additon, she participated in a Moot Court competition where she argued a case before the United States Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Roberts. For her exemplary performance, she received an award for best oralist. She also received an award for leadership and scholarship.

Kahilda's passion to do research, and her analytical skills, have solidified her desire to work as a law clerk for a judge after graduation.

She thanks God to whom all honor and glory is due,her family and friends for all their support in helping her to successfully obtain a Juris Doctor degree and to accomplish her goal to become a lawyer.
