CONSULTANTS TO HOLD DISASTER WORKSHOP IN SANDY GROUND

Sixty five delegates of the Anguilla United Front (AUF) met on Saturday, January 14, 2012 to examine the performance of the Anguilla United Movement (AUM) Government of the Hon. Hubert Hughes, Chief Minister, after 23 months in office. The all day event, comprising Day One of the Party Convention, was held in the conference room of the Soroptimists’ Centre, The Valley, adjacent to the Edison L. Hughes Public Library and Teachers Resource Centre.

The donation of five defibrillators from the West Parry Sound Health Centre, located in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada, is now complete. Rotarian Karen Cox, from Parry Sound, arrived on the island in early January for her first visit to Anguilla, and she brought with her the fifth defibrillator. Four other units arrived on the island in November last fall.

Anguilla’s Tourism Development Areas (TDA) as outlined in the recently-completed Tourism Master-plan.
A banner, featuring the map of Anguilla, divided into West End, Central and East End TDAs, has been erected on the main road opposite LIME. Three other banners, which will highlight each TDA in more detail, will be placed strategically around the island in due course.
